As it is in most U.S. urban cores, parking in downtown Pensacola has been a local issue for as far back as anyone can remember, so public information and education require ongoing attention. Our work over the past two years has included upgrading all of the City’s parking signage as well as launching a new parking app, and conducting visitor and resident surveys, developing and presenting a “community road show” as part of a larger public education campaign, and designing educational materials such as sidewalk decals, videos, pocket guides, posters and other materials. The app launch was awarded a Silver ADDY Award from the West Florida Ad Federation and an Image Award from the Florida Public Relations Association Emerald Coast, and a video we produced to promote the new app won a Gold ADDY Award.
